"...Many

attracted by the prospect of sudden and spectacular change in their
conditions of life.
A revolutionary movement is a conspicuous
instrument of change."
Eric Hoffer
"I do not agree with the view that to
be moral, the motive of ones action has to be benefitings others. Morality does not have to be
defined in relation to others... People like me want to... satisfy
our hearts to the full, and in doing so we automatically have the most
valuable moral codes. Of course there are people and
objects in the world, but they are all there only for me. People like me only have a duty
to ourselves, we have no duty to other people. I am responsible only for the
reality that I know, and absolutely not responsible for anything else. I do not know about the past, I
do not know about the future. They have nothing do with the
reality of my own self.
Some
say one has a responsibiity for History, I dont believe it... I am only
concerned about developing myself... I have my desire and I act on
it... I am responsible to no one... ...
a
Good Name after Death cannot bring me any joy, because it
belongs to the future and not to my own reality..."

On the Cusp from Ancient to Modern
(1893-1911 H age 1-17)
Mao tse-tung, who for decades held absolute power over the lives of
one-quarter of the world's population, was responsible for well over 70
million deaths in peacetime, more than any other twentieth-century
leader. He was born into a peasant family in a valley called Shaoshan,
in the province of Hunan, in the heartland of China. The date was 26
December 1893. His ancestors had lived in the valley for five hundred
years.
This was a world of ancient beauty, a temperate, humid
region whose misty, undulating hills had been populated ever since the
Neolithic age. Buddhist temples dating from the Tang dynasty (ad
618-906), when Buddhism first came here, were still in use. Forests
where nearly 300 species of trees grew, including maples, camphor,
metasequoia and the rare ginkgo, covered the area and sheltered the
tigers, leopards and boar that still roamed the hills. (The last tiger
was killed in 1957.) These hills, with neither roads nor navigable
rivers, detached the village from the world at large. Even as late as
the early twentieth century an event as momentous as the death of the
emperor in 1908 did not percolate this far, and Mao found out only two
years afterwards when he left Shaoshan.
The valley of Shaoshan
measures about 5 by 3.5 km. The 600-odd families who lived there grew
rice, tea and bamboo, harnessing buffalo to plough the rice paddies.
Daily life revolved round these age-old activities. Mao's father,
Yi-chang, was born in 1870. At the age of ten he was engaged to a girl
of thirteen from a village about 10 kilometres away, beyond a pass
called Tiger Resting Pass, where tigers usedto sun themselves. This
short distance was long enough in those years for the two villages to
speak dialects that were almost mutually unintelligible. Being merely a
girl, Mao's mother did not receive a name; as the seventh girl born in
the Wen clan, she was just Seventh Sister Wen. In accordance with
centuries of custom, her feet had been crushed and bound to produce the
so-called three-inch golden lilies that epitomised beauty at the time.
Her engagement to Mao's father followed time-honoured customs. It was
arranged by their parents and was based on a practical consideration:
the tomb of one of her grandfathers was in Shaoshan, and it had to be
tended regularly with elaborate rituals, so having a relative there
would prove useful. Seventh Sister Wen moved in with the Maos upon
betrothal, and was married at the age of eighteen, in 1885, when
Yi-chang was fifteen.
Shortly after the wedding, Yi-chang went
off to be a soldier to earn money to pay off family debts, which he was
able to do after several years. Chinese peasants were not serfs but
free farmers, and joining the army for purely financial reasons was an
established practice. Luckily he was not involved in any wars; instead
he caught a glimpse of the world and picked up some business ideas.
Unlike most of the villagers, Yi-chang could read and write, well
enough to keep accounts. After his return, he raised pigs, and
processed grain into top-quality rice to sell at a nearby market town.
He bought back the land his father had pawned, then bought more land,
and became one of the richest men in the village.
Though
relatively well off, Yi-chang remained extremely hard- working and
thrifty all his life. The family house consisted of half a dozen rooms,
which occupied one wing of a large thatched property. Eventually
Yi-chang replaced the thatch with tiles, a major improvement, but left
the mud floor and mud walls. The windows had no glass--still a rare
luxury--and were just square openings with wooden bars, blocked off at
night by wooden boards (the temperature hardly ever fell below
freezing). The furniture was simple: wooden beds, bare wooden tables
and benches. It was in one of these rather spartan rooms, under a pale
blue homespun cotton quilt, inside a blue mosquito net, that Mao was
born.
Mao was the third son, but the first to survive
beyond infancy. His Buddhist mother became even more devout to
encourage Buddha to protect him. Mao was given the two-part name
Tse-tung. Tse, which means "to shine on," was the name given to all his
generation, as preordained when the clan chronicle was first written in
the eighteenth century; tung means "the East." So his full given name
meant "to shine on the East." When two more boys were born, in 1896 and
1905, they were given the names Tse-min (min means "the people") and
Tse-t'an (tan possibly referred to the local region, Xiangtan).
These names reflected the inveterate aspiration of Chinese peasants for
their sons to do well--and the expectation that they could. High
positions were open to all through education, which for centuries meant
studying Confucian classics. Excellence would enable young men of any
background to pass imperial examinations and become mandarins--all the
way up to becoming prime minister. Officialdom was the definition of
achievement, and the names given to Mao and his brothers expressed the
hopes placed on them.
But a grand name was also onerous and
potentially tempted fate, so most children were given a pet name that
was either lowly or tough, or both. Mao's was "the Boy of
Stone"--Shisan yazi. For this second "baptism" his mother took him to a
rock about eight feet high, which was reputed to be enchanted, as there
was a spring underneath. After Mao performed obeisance and kowtows, he
was considered adopted by the rock. Mao was very fond of this name, and
continued to use it as an adult. In 1959, when he returned to Shaoshan
and met the villagers for the first--and only--time as supreme leader
of China, he began the dinner for them with a quip: "So everyone is
here, except my Stone Mother. Shall we wait for her?"
Mao loved
his real mother, with an intensity he showed towards no one else. She
was a gentle and tolerant person, who, as he remembered, never raised
her voice to him. From her came his full face, sensual lips, and a calm
self-possession in the eyes. Mao would talk about his mother with
emotion all his life. It was in her footsteps that he became a Buddhist
as a child. Years later he told his staff: "I worshipped my mother . .
. Wherever my mother went, I would follow . . . going to temple fairs,
burning incense and paper money, doing obeisance to Buddha . . .
Because my mother believed in Buddha, so did I." But he gave up
Buddhism in his mid-teens.
Mao had a carefree childhood. Until
he was eight he lived with his mother's family, the Wens, in their
village, as his mother preferred to live with her own family. There his
maternal grandmother doted on him. His two uncles and their wives
treated him like their own son, and one of them became his Adopted
Father, the Chinese equivalent to godfather. Mao did a little light
farm work, gathering fodder for pigs and taking the buffaloes out for a
stroll in the tea-oil camellia groves by a pond shaded by banana
leaves. In later years he would reminisce with fondness about this
idyllic time. He started learning to read, while his aunts spun and
sewed under an oil lamp.
Mao only came back to live in Shaoshan
in spring 1902, at the age of eight, to receive an education, which
took the form of study in a tutor's home. Confucian classics, which
made up most of the curriculum, were beyond the understanding of
children and had to be learnt by heart. Mao was blessed with an
exceptional memory, and did well. His fellow pupils remembered a
diligent boy who managed not only to recite but also to write by rote
these difficult texts. He also gained a foundation in Chinese language
and history, and began to learn to write good prose, calligraphy and
poetry, as writing poems was an essential part of Confucian education.
Reading became a passion. Peasants generally turned in at sunset, to
save on oil for lamps, but Mao would read deep into the night, with an
oil lamp standing on a bench outside his mosquito net. Years later,
when he was supreme ruler of China, half of his huge bed would be piled
a foot high with Chinese classics, and he littered his speeches and
writings with historical references. But his poems lost flair.
Mao clashed frequently with his tutors. He ran away from his first
school at the age of ten, claiming that the teacher was a martinet. He
was expelled from, or was "asked to leave," at least three schools for
being headstrong and disobedient. His mother indulged him but his
father was not pleased, and Mao's hopping from tutor to tutor was just
one source of tension between father and son. Yi-chang paid for Mao's
education, hoping that his son could at least help keep the family
accounts, but Mao disliked the task. All his life, he was vague about
figures, and hopeless at economics. Nor did he take kindly to hard
physical labour. He shunned it as soon as his peasant days were over.
Yi-chang could not stand Mao being idle. Having spent every minute of
his waking hours working, he expected his son to do the same, and would
strike him when he did not comply. Mao hated his father. In 1968, when
he was taking revenge on his political foes on a vast scale, he told
their tormentors that he would have liked his father to be treated just
as brutally: "My father was bad. If he were alive today, he should be
'jet-planed.' " This was an agonising position where the subject's arms
were wrenched behind his back and his head forced down.
Mao was
not a mere victim of his father. He fought back, and was often the
victor. He would tell his father that the father, being older, should
do more manual labour than he, the younger--which was an unthinkably
insolent argument by Chinese standards. One day, according to Mao,
father and son had a row in front of guests. "My father scolded me
before them, calling me lazy and useless. This infuriated me. I called
him names and left the house . . . My father . . . pursued me, cursing
as well as commanding me to come back. I reached the edge of a pond and
threatened to jump in if he came any nearer . . . My father backed
down." Once, as Mao was retelling the story, he laughed and added an
observation: "Old men like him didn't want to lose their sons. This is
their weakness. I attacked at their weak point, and I won!"
Money was the only weapon Mao's father possessed. After Mao was
expelled by tutor no. 4, in 1907, his father stopped paying his son's
tuition fees and the thirteen-year-old boy had to become a full-time
peasant. But he soon found a way to get himself out of farm work and
back into the world of books. Yi-chang was keen for his son to get
married, so that he would be tied down and behave responsibly. His
niece was at just the right age for a wife, four years older than Mao,
who agreed to his father's plan and resumed schooling after the
marriage.
The marriage took place in 1908, when Mao was fourteen
and his bride eighteen. Her family name was Luo. She herself had no
proper name, and was just called "Woman Luo." The only time Mao is
known to have mentioned her was to the American journalist Edgar Snow
in 1936, when Mao was strikingly dismissive, exaggerating the
difference in their ages: "When I was 14, my parents married me to a
girl of 20. But I never lived with her . . . I do not consider her my
wife . . . and have given little thought to her." He gave no hint that
she was not still alive; in fact, Woman Luo had died in 1910, just over
a year into their marriage.
Mao's early marriage turned him into
a fierce opponent of arranged marriages. Nine years later he wrote a
seething article against the practice: "In families in the West,
parents acknowledge the free will of their children. But in China,
orders from the parents are not at all compatible with the will of the
children . . . This is a kind of 'indirect rape.' Chinese parents are
all the time indirectly raping their children . . ."
As soon as
his wife died, the sixteen-year-old widower demanded to leave Shaoshan.
His father wanted to apprentice him to a rice store in the county town,
but Mao had set his eye on a modern school about 25 kilometres away. He
had learned that the imperial examinations had been abolished. Instead
there were modern schools now, teaching subjects like science, world
history and geography, and foreign languages. It was these schools that
would open the door out of a peasant's life for many like him.
REVIEWS
From the Publisher
Based on a decade of research and on
interviews with many of Mao’s close circle in China who have never
talked before--and with virtually everyone outside China who had
significant dealings with him--this is the most authoritative life of
Mao ever written. It is full of startling revelations, exploding the
myth of the Long March, and showing a completely unknown Mao: he was
not driven by idealism or ideology; his intimate and intricate
relationship with Stalin went back to the 1920s, ultimately bringing
him to power; he welcomed Japanese occupation of much of China; and he
schemed, poisoned and blackmailed to get his way. After Mao conquered
China in 1949, his secret goal was to dominate the world. In chasing
this dream he caused the deaths of 38 million people in the greatest
famine in history. In all, well over 70 million Chinese perished under
Mao’s rule--in peacetime.
Combining meticulous research with the story-telling style of
Wild Swans, this biography offers a harrowing portrait of Mao’s
ruthless accumulation of power through the exercise of terror: his
first victims were the peasants, then the intellectuals and, finally,
the inner circle of his own advisors. The reader enters the shadowy
chambers of Mao’s court and eavesdrops on the drama in its hidden
recesses. Mao’s character and the enormity of his behavior toward his
wives, mistresses and children are unveiled for the first time.
This is an entirely fresh look at Mao in both content and approach.
It will astonish historians and the general reader alike.
The New York Times Sunday Book Review - Nicholas D. Kristof
…
this is a magisterial work. True, much of Mao's brutality has already
emerged over the years, but this biography supplies substantial new
information and presents it all in a stylish way that will put it on
bedside tables around the world. No wonder the Chinese government has
banned not only this book but issues of magazines with reviews of it,
for Mao emerges from these pages as another Hitler or Stalin.
The New York Times - Michiko Kakutani
Not
only does their book demolish many of the myths Mao perpetrated about
himself - myths that were believed by a host of Westerners, ranging
from Simone de Beauvoir to Henry Kissinger and Richard Nixon - but it
also serves up a far more scathing portrait of the Chinese leader than
those laid out by recent biographers like Philip Short and Jonathan
Spence.
The Washington Post - John Pomfret
In
short, if you're hoping for staid, balanced scholarship, don't read
this book. It's not history; it's a screed, albeit a screed on the side
of the angels…Even screeds have their place, however, and this is an
extremely entertaining one. Indeed, sometimes an emotionally charged
account—one written with obvious biases—can reveal the truth better
than ostentatious, morally numbed objectivity that cloaks a lot of
Western scholarship on China. Chang and Halliday's point is very
simple: Like a small group of scholars in China, they believe that Mao
wasn't a revolutionary but a monster. He wasn't a communist but a
bandit king. The result is a page-turner with a point.
Publishers Weekly
Jung
Chang, author of the award-winning Wild Swans, grew up during the
Cultural Revolution; Halliday is a research fellow at King's College,
University of London. They join forces in this sweeping but flawed
biography, which aims to uncover Mao's further cruelties (beyond those
commonly known) by debunking claims made by the Communist Party in his
service. For example, the authors argue that, far from Mao's humble
peasant background shaping his sympathies for the downtrodden, he
actually ruthlessly exploited the peasants' resources when he was based
in regions such as Yenan, and cared about peasants only when it suited
his political agenda. And far from having founded the Chinese Communist
Party, the authors argue, Mao was merely at the right place at the
right time. Importantly, the book argues that in most instances Mao was
able to hold on to power thanks to his adroitness in appealing to and
manipulating powerful allies and foes, such as Stalin and later Nixon;
furthermore, almost every aspect of his career was motivated by a
preternatural thirst for personal power, rather than political vision.
Some of the book's claims rely on interviews and on primary material
(such as the anguished letters Mao's second wife wrote after he
abandoned her), though the book's use of sources is sometimes
incompletely documented and at times heavy-handed (for example, using a
school essay the young Mao wrote to show his lifelong ruthlessness).

Jung Chang, acclaimed author of Wild Swans,
and her husband, historian Jon Halliday, spent a decade conducting
interviews and archival research to deconstruct the myth of Chairman
Mao, a myth that is on the whole still perpetuated by China's current
Communist regime. Chang and Halliday's method: to consult every
available archive, to listen to every cable they could find between
Peking and the Kremlin before and during the 27 years Mao ruled, and to
interview every living soul somehow connected to Mao in and out of
mainland China, including the exiled Dalai Lama, Henry Kissinger, Mao's
daughter Li Na, George H.W. Bush, and such esoteric sources as Shi
Da-zheng, son of the film director who was the first famous cultural
figure to commit suicide after the Communist takeover. Their list goes
on and on, and makes this biography the magisterial work that it is.
The authors' most pressing contention, painstakingly substantiated, is
that Mao, during his nefarious reign, starved and overworked 70 million
of his people to death. Over half perished during the Great Famine of
1958—1961, a period Mao deemed the Great Leap Forward. These people
died during peacetime because Peking mandated exporting vast amounts of
food to countries capable of providing Mao's military with nuclear
weapons. It was this Superpower Program more than anything else that
fueled his ambitions, that made him instill terror and hate campaigns
that created a nation of hundreds of millions of petrified,
brainwashed, starving people. Meanwhile, the Chairman himself lived a
life of extreme comfort and extravagance in grandiose villas built
specifically for him all across China. The authors tread harshly on
themythology of Mao, revealing a man with little if any ideological
passion. Instead, he had a love for bloodthirsty thuggery. Mao's China
was "run by terror and guarded like a prison." Chang and Halliday's
book is both the fascinating revelation of Mao's improbable rise to
power and the fierce, long-awaited condemnation of his deadly practices
once he got there. At times they seem a little too quick to denounce
every single one of his actions and sometimes present him as so much of
a solipsistic psychopath that we wonder how he was possibly able to
conquer the biggest country in the world. Nevertheless, their research
indelibly destroys any claim to Mao's legitimacy. The narrative gives
minute-by-minute details of famous events and is truly chilling in what
it uncovers.
Library Journal
In Wild Swans: Three Daughters of
China, Chang detailed the experiences of her parents, early
revolutionaries and high officials in Communist China, and her own
adventures as a rabid Red Guard in Mao's Cultural Revolution of the
1960s (when Halliday was likewise a Mao enthusiast). Their
disillusionment with Mao paralleled the party's conversion in the 1980s
to Deng Xiaoping's "market socialism." Chang and Halliday make
devastating use of insider gossip, published scholarship, and archives
to build a detailed story of a mad, lusting Mao with neither ideals nor
scruples. Scholars may see this as a prosecutor's indictment that does
not explain Mao's successes, however perverse, and blames him as an
individual for all woes. Some charges seem exaggerated or
tendentious-for instance, the dramatic opening statement that Mao was
"responsible for well over 70 million deaths," more than any other
20th-century leader. Yet the thrust of the argument is necessary and
rings true. The book, while officially banned in the People's Republic,
will undoubtedly be widely read there. A controversial, highly
significant, and compellingly readable biography that should be in
every library.-Charles W. Hayford, Northwestern Univ., Evanston, IL

Kirkus Reviews
In the spirit of The Black Book of
Communism (1999), this grand narrative aims to show that Mao Tse-tung
was among the greatest mass murderers in history-if not the greatest of
them all. "Mao Tse-tung, who for decades held absolute power over the
lives of one-quarter of the world's population, was responsible for
well over 70 million deaths in peacetime, more than any other
twentieth-century leader," write China-born memoirist Chang (Wild
Swans, 1991) and British historian Halliday in their provocative
opening. Mao's rise was improbable, argue the authors, because he was a
rotter and an opportunist, and everyone knew it. As a young man, Mao
read diligently, and the conclusions he took away from world history
were that he was above the law and that "giant wars" were the normal
order of things. Just so, late in life, having whipped up the chaos of
the Cultural Revolution, Mao warned a palace guard, "Don't cultivate
connections. . . . Don't have photographs taken with people." He lived
by such rules. Self-serving and secretive, Mao was ostracized by the
Soviet-led leadership in the early days of the Communist Party; far
from leading the Long March, by this account, Mao was borne into the
mountains on a litter, half because of illness, half because it suited
his imperial character, though he almost didn't get to go at all.
Still, amazingly, he managed to play off rivals and scheme his way to
absolute rule, and woe to anyone who crossed him. Chang and Halliday
document at length just how willing Mao was to kill innocents for
presumed crimes or mere expediency, how quick he was to concoct schemes
against even such essential comrades as Lin Baio and Chou En-Lai-and
how willing the leaders of theworld, among them Richard Nixon, were to
bow to Mao's wishes. A startling document, one that will surely
occasion revision of the historical record. First printing of 75,000
What People Are Saying
"Ever since
the spectacular success of Chang’s Wild Swans we have waited
impatiently for her to complete with her husband this monumental study
of China’s most notorious modern leader. The expectation has been that
she would rewrite modern Chinese history. The wait has been worthwhile
and the expectation justified. This is a bombshell of a book."
--Chris Patten, the last governor of Hong Kong, in The Times
(London)
"Chang and Halliday cast new and revealing light on nearly every
episode in Mao's tumultuous life...a stupendous work and one hopes that
it will be brought before the Chinese people, who still claim to
venerate the man and who have yet to come to terms with their own
history..."
-Michael Yahuda, The Guardian
"Jung Chang and Jon Halliday have not, in the whole of their
narrative, a good word to say about Mao. In a normal biography, such an
unequivocal denunciation would be both suspect and tedious. But the
clear scholarship, and careful notes, of The Unknown Story provoke
another reaction. Mao Tse-Tung's evil, undoubted and well-documented,
is unequalled throughout modern history."
-Roy Hattersley, The Observer
"A triumph. It is a mesmerising portrait of tyranny, degeneracy,
mass murder and promiscuity, a barrage of revisionist bombshells, and a
superb piece of research."
-Simon Sebag Montefiore, The Sunday Times
"Jung Chang and Jon Halliday enter a savage indictment drawing
on a host of sources, including important Soviet ones, to blow away the
miasma of deceit and ignorance which still shrouds Mao's life from many
Western eyes...Jung Chang delivers a cry of anguish on behalf of all of
those in her native land who, to this day, are still not free to speak
of these things."
-Max Hastings, The Sunday Telegraph
"Demonstrating the same pitilessness that they judge to be Mao's
most formidable weapon, they unstitch the myths that sustained him in
power for forty years and that continue to underpin China's regime--I
suspect that when China comes to terms with its past this book will
have played a role."
-Nicolas Shakespeare, Telegraph
"The detail and documentation are awesome. The story that they
tell, mesmerising in its horror, is the most powerful, compelling, and
revealing political biography of modern times. Few books are destined
to change history, but this one will."
-George Walden, Daily Mail
"decisive biography--they have investigated every aspect of his
personal life and career, peeling back the layers of lies, myths, and
what we used to think of as facts--what Chang and Halliday have done is
immense and surpasses, as a biography, everything that has gone
before."

Eric Hoffer Quotes:
"...The
basic tenet of
freedom is perhaps less in what we are free to do than in what we are
free not to do. It is the freedom to refrain, withdraw and
abstain which makes a totalitarian regime impossible. Those
addicted to action do not probably feel unfree in active totalitarian
regime. Hitler won over the generals, technicians and scientists
not by preaching to them but by giving them more [to do] than they
asked for and encouraging them to go the limit..."
BOTH "Faith" and Terror are
instruments for the elimination of individual self-respect.
Terror crushes the autonomy of self-respect, while "Faith" obtains its
more or less voluntary surrender.
In both cases the result of the elimination of individual autonomy is -
automatism. Both
"Faith" & Terror reduce the human entity to a formula that can be
manipulated at will. MAN is indeed a fantastic
creature; and nothing about him is so fantastic as the alchemy of his
crushed soul which transmutes shame and weakness into pride and faith.
IT HAS been often said that
power corrupts. But perhaps equally important to realize that
weakness, too, corrupts. Power corrupts the few, while weakness
corrupts the many. Hatred, malice, rudeness, intolerance, and
suspicion are the fruits of weakness. The resentment of the weak
does not spring from any injustice done to them but from the sense of
their inadequacy and impotence. They hate not wickedness but
weakness. When it is in their power to do so, the weak destroy
weakness wherever they see it. Woe to the weak when they are
preyed upon by the weak. The self-hatred of the weak is likewise
an instance of their hatred of weakness.

QUESTION
1: [from
Anonymous
of

Where
will
the"money"
come from to get us started, i.e. to build the first set of
robots and the A/I based expert systems, and the near-Infinite
GEOTHERMAL Energy Plants ?
[NOTES: A/I - means artificial
intelligence. Expert Systems are A/I based computer systems that
perform all professional services, the "white collar" jobs, i.e.
replace engineers, chemists,
accountants, doctors, lawyers, politicians, physicists, mathematicians,
managers, computer scientists
etc. Robots will replace ALL manual and "blue collar" jobs, the
crafts, and trades etc. The First Set of robots will build all
subsequent sets of
robots. GEOTHERMAL Energy is electrical energy generated by boiling
water from heat of earth near mantle to turn a generator, and is
pollution and green house gas free, works 24/7/365 ]
ANSWER 1:
Excellent
question
[Anonymous
of
Antwerpen,Belgium]. What is money anyway ?
Isn't money simply an artificial representation of natural resources
? This may help shine some light. Back in 1993 or so,
still have the hard copy, "The
Washington Post" ran a front page newspaper article warning of
an
impending possible collision with, what is termed, a NEO Asteroid, or 'Near
Earth
Orbit' Asteroid. It was a fantastic story that certainly
got
everyone's
attention. At that time we had worked @ NASA so of course we were
following the story very closely and even assisting the JET PROPULSION
LAB, JPL, to track the NEO Asteroid.
While everyone was naturally excited and concerned about this NEO
Asteroid
for the danger it posed to the earth, few spoke of, and even fewer
appreciated, the
utterly FANTASTIC opportunity this presented, which, surprisingly, was
even
mentioned in the
same
news story, albeit further down page B, after the fold of course
!!!
For those who read the ENTIRE news story, what was told was simply
"earth shattering"
in a different way altogether...
For the story continued to reveal this Near
Earth
Orbit
Asteroid to be composed of NO FEWER THAN:
100,000 TONS ofGOLD &
10,000 TONS ofPLATINUM
That is correct TONS !!, not
POUNDS,
TONS !!, THERE is your
"money" to build the first set of robots, the A/I Expert
Systems, the GEOTHERMAL Energy plants. How do we know this to be so
? Simple. JPL has a technology called X-RAY
Spectroscopy. Via X-RAY Spectroscopy, X-RAYS are projected
towards the object to be studied. The X-RAYs bounce of the object
and return to a detector in JPL's Laboratory and are
analyzed. X-RAYs behave differently when bounced of
different materials, the return spectrum telling us EXACTLY what
it
bounced off of via a "signature".
So, why was it not retrieved and how might it have been ? Well
who really knows if it was not retrieved privately, but in any case,
publically it was not. To have retrieved it would only have
required attaching a rocket engine to it, providing the thrust
necessary to slightly alter it's path and orbit so that it stays near
us to be
mined in place. Fortunately, the universe is full of
many such asteroids and other untold riches.
Other reasons the resource laden NEO Asteroid might not have been
retrieved include the following:
Low expectations -
the phenomenon where
people, especially many of our leaders, have very low expectations and
are satisfied with RELATIVE wealth, i.e. I am richer, more powerful
than you, and that is all that matters, retrieving this NEO Asteroid
would not
help me, besides I am too busy staying in power to worry about
something as wonderful as this and the instability it might cause for
MY STATUS QUO.
Protection of competitive advantage, aka
Artificial Scarcity -
If the
market were to suddenly be flooded with so much Gold & Platinum,
just think what would happen to the relative competitive advantage the
currently rich possess. [of course this is only true in a
zero-sum
game]
The key is to have
the "right amount of stuff" when and where it is needed, and a ROBOTIC
A/I Administered Economy certainly has the means to do this when
combined with all the other sciences related to human nature and
desires. For example, everyone can be afforded the opportunity to
realistically request and obtain anything they truly want and need
without harming anyone else or forcing anyone else to give up their
time or freedom since the robots can build it, and matter and energy in
this vast universe is truly infinite !!! In the past our leader
classes, throughout history, always got exactly what they wanted, but
only by means of SLAVERY or other similar "technologies". Ancient
Egyptian, Mayan, Roman, Chinese cultures ring some bells ? What
about recent & modern day slavery and other convenient "situations"
?
Crucial point, for
you to, remeber, is that human robotics, i.e. slavery and other similar
"institutions" are NO LONGER NECESSARY for the few to live like
Royalty, when we have REAL ROBOTS to perform this Function and all the
MONEY in the UNIVERSE to make it happen as fast as the
industrialization of the 1800's changed the world and even faster !!!
and now EVERYONE can live like Royalty or as they wish ! No more
losers !!! Plant this seed in others minds and it will happen
even faster !

Surely
everyone
will be able to
adapt to the new reality of having free time to explore all the things
they had dreamt of exploring if they only had the time, i.e. become a
concert pianist, learn 10 new languages, become an impressionist
painter, learn how to juggle 5 objects, swim the pacific, raise their
children with 100 % of their time, become a rhythm guitar player in a
funk band, or just plain wonder, sleep and use
their imagination for extended periods of time... you get the
idea...
Excellent
question
[Anonymous
of
Groussherzogtum Lëtzebuerg, EU]. Well you know, you are right,
everything really is perfect right now, and everything is happening
precisely as it should be, this much is surely true.
However, up until this point in time, "money" and the economic system it is based on
is "precisely" what was needed to get us to this point in the
"time-line" since it provided the incentive for human's to come up with
ideas, and actually perform the work needed to gradually get us to
today.
Remember that until recently, there were no such thing as robots and
Artificial Intelligence based Expert Computer systems and the
near-infinite power source of GeoThermal energy to power them, which
together are capable of doing the things humans HAD to do in the
past simply to survive; and very importantly, "money"
was the way to get them to do it.
Today, we actually have gone past the point in time where "money" is necessary and this is because of the
momentum of the "past" and people's not understanding how things REALLY
work. We have gone past the point in the sense that businesses
have actually become so efficient and intelligent that they have
enslaved the people who "buy" their products & services, even
without many people, including many in leadership
realizing !!!
Throughout
history
slaves
&
serfs
could never report abuse at the hands of
their masters and
expect anything but more abuse, even today this is true. This is
why it is
important for people to have the ability to freely communicate with
their superiors/guardians, and for their superiors/guardians to welcome
such free communication, otherwise an "emperor has no
clothes" scenario occurs further isolating the "leader" class
from their subjects, as a climate of fear leads to the "leaders"
receiving less valuable and less accurate information over
time.
Subjects are not immune to human nature either. As such, due in
part to the inherent unhealthy polarity that exists in the master slave
paradigm, such weaker subjects are then prone to purposely feed
bad information to the
leaders, false flattery, false accusations against others etc so as to
enable the subject to join the leader class and make
it more and more difficult for those willing only to tell the truth,
who
are left behind, further enhancing the polarity between slave and
master microcosms, and even spawning multiple interlocking influence
peddling markets within the slave ranks with betrayal around every
corner.
It has been said that true
communication is really only possible between equals. Are not we
all humans ?
Never forget the lofty oratory of the founding fathers of the United
States of America, and how they too possessed SLAVES in the 1000s
!!! Absolutely incredible !!! Shame shame shame.
Freedom and Liberty for whom ? They only cared for their own freedom
from their own Tyrant across the Pond, and who they had to themselves
enslave did not matter, despite the eloquent speeches, simply another
one way valve.
It should be said that many people today really want to be helped, even
those in lofty positions dominating those beneath them knowingly or
not, not fully appreciating just how they acquired their station,
taking it for granted, not even sure what to do when, other than by
pure instinct, or simply mimicking what others in their circle do, they
just do not know how to achieve personal inner enrichment, to
seek the help they need, and they do not know how to treat others
respectfully, for in both cases they feel it would be interpreted as a
sign of weakness which they perceive would threaten the justification
of their specific position of power in the eyes of peers and subjects
alike.
Actual modern accounts have been related to us making this an issue
alive today, not just antiquity.
Even the systems in place to protect the slaves are often compromised
by the masters knowingly or not, intentionally or not, these "systems"
often serving as little more than biased information collecting/
disseminating/morphing mechanisms, like the East German Stasi, KGB's,
Chekas, SS, you name it, a virtual maze of trap doors
controllable externally via various often implicit mechanisms and
understandings to intimidate and further abuse the victims, including
psychological techniques used in the military and other over the top
crushing blows, raw displays of power, delivered to those who
have been deemed to not benefit the status quo via pre-determined,
extra-judicial "understandings". It is not unlike how slaves were
treated throughout history, they had to accept being spoken to in
degrading manners, meant to remind the slave of its status as an object
or property of the master. Slaves who requested to be spoken to
as humans were treated extra special. They were then further
humiliated verbally in front of other slaves and masters alike to
reinforce the message.
The master class would further justify its reign and status of
superiority and greater "civility" by showing anytime the slave
resisted
the mistreatment, that this resistance simply shows what an animal the
slave is, even
creating false incidents to blame on the slave to further justify their
premises and create "cause", not unlike how Hitler burnt the Reichstags
and blamed it on the innocent as a pretext for even more abuse.
As long as they are not hurting
others, they will be free to do as they wish, including free to ponder
why they do not feel like achieving personal inner enrichment.
Mike, please fee free to submit a follow up question, and if you would
like to help develop this subject,
This
is,
and
always
has
been the "flow". It is gravity in action no
matter how different these forces may seem on the surface, it is just
gravity which cannot be denied.
Wow, James what a fascinating
question you have posed... [from
James
of
Hidden
Hills
California, USA].
You have touched on "human
nature". Remember though that this is human nature as experienced
in a world where humans are treated VERY poorly by other humans for
reasons linked directly to the fact that for the few to live in an
elevated state, the many had to live in a low-servile state. That
is no longer true when Robots and Computers will do all the work, and
all the serving. No more will there be the insecurities felt by
most humans who are constantly worried about being reduced to a servile
state by the disrespect and skulduggery of others fighting in an
apparently zero-sum game of winners and losers.
For those who are not satisfied with every conceivable form of wealth
and free time that still must exhibit anti-social, even preemptive
destructive behaviors for fear of being too late in securing what they
believe is theirs, these types will be readily exposed for what they
are and given the love and assurances necessary to convince them that
they are going to be okay and that there is no need for such drama
anymore.
Hope this helps answer your question James, if not please feel free to
write again.

If Communism is merely Capitalism perfected, which it clearly is in
the minds
of the Capitalists who in fact created Communism, where EVERYTHING &
EVERYONE becomes "plant
& equipment" owned by a small group of Ultra Capitalists: what does
that say about Capitalism, Socialism & Communism ?
Not much... These 3 faces of Capitalism share a common track
record littered with destruction...
Capitalism
= Socialism =
Communism,
always fail withoutlies and
deception,
because the TRUTH is, no
one wants to
do the work each system requires, repeat...
Therefore, the current systems, all just different forms of
Capitalism as demonstrated above,
ALL
clearly incentivize anti-social, hypocritical & criminal behavior
by implicitly punishing innocent
behaviors.
Remember that if you are for
less "government", only the government we need, then you must be for as
few governments as possible, and as little unnecessary redundancy
within as few governments as necessary, are you on board so far ?
One
is
the
first
whole number greater than zero, correct? You can
have no fewer governments than one and still have government correct
?
Half a government is not a government. 2 governments is also not
government.
Just
suppose
you
really
are for as few governments as necessary, would you
not then by definition be for a single planetary
government, not thousands and thousands of uncoordinated governments
and fiefdoms run by self-proclaimed, grasping, embezzling,
capricious,
vicious, secretive unaccountable petty "lords" and their legions of
vested minions with millions of hiding places to squirrel away the
governed's, the less pushy and presumptuous' hard earned
earnings, make sense ?
The
less
unnecessary
complexity,
the harder it is to hide the suffering of
the innocents.
Anything beyond irreducible
complexity is wasted structure that nonsense will multiply in.
ALL IDEAS must remain subservient to
even the most vulnerable individuals
that ALL IDEAS were
created to serve, especially the vulnerable.
If all coercive buying &
selling is being replaced with only
free-will based giving &
receiving, in an economy where ALL
undesirable work to produce all products & services is performed
by:
Systems of Robots & Computers...
under human expressed design & direction, is that perhaps
what is meant by:
"Buying & Selling
itself is 'Marked' for
Destruction..."
that you hear so many speak of, & that those without human hearts,
i.e. today's
human robots, will be replaced with Real Robots,
thereby
leaving
only
compassionate
meek, kind humans, who are considerate to all without exception, to
remain
and be
protected by robots?
Perhaps there is little difference between those turning others into
human robots and their victims? Couldn't the availability of
Real Robots help heal human robots back into human beings ?
As above so below, Truth
is
Authority,
not the other way around...
Would The Infinitely Generous & Intelligent Creator of the Universe
have it any other way ?
If all possess the heart of the best imaginable human ever, that
ever had been to our knowledge
imagined, would it even be necessary for that human to rule over anyone, or
is that what is meant by
ruling ?
If you are forced to have such a heart how are you not a robot ?
If you choose freely to have that heart, isn't that what makes you
human ?
Only humans can freely choose...
Whereas Robots cannot, they can only follow orders...
Robots also cannot suffer,
only humans can
One world, two world, what is the difference as long as everyone has
the ability
to express their free will fully, safely, Royally for as long as they
desire, isn't
that really the
question & concern we should have, i.e. lets not throw the baby out
with the bath
water, if the only
thing wrong with one world is those who impatiently tried to force it
ahead of its natural schedule, let us
show them how to do it right, as we deter future & forgive past
trespasses as an incentive for them to join us.
The rush & dissatisfaction of finite lives causes the ambitious
& powerful to cut corners, harming countless innocents.
Once this age old, completely
understandable aversion to finite lives
has been resolved with a real
solution, everyone will chill out and enjoy
the ride.
You cannot fault people for not liking death & all the wacky
behaviours that come from the lack of a heretofore real solution...
There always has been only one world, also known as REALITY !!!

just as the elite have always done
it, but this time, on the BACKS of ROBOTS
ALL
HUMANS will be elevated to the "Elite"
level of 100% passive income, instead of just the few.
INCOME will be redefined.
"Money/Wages" will no longer have meaning since all work
will be done
by Computers
& Robots.
Capitalism & Communism only work for Capitalists &
Communists ! True or True ?
Can
you really call yourself a
Capitalist if you have no capital, or equipment etc besides your own
body ?
WALMART is the worlds largest
RETAILER, and as such serves as an interface between PRODUCTION and
CONSUMPTION
This is precisely the interface that
we will be redesigning, it is the engine of the current economy, where
the rubber meets the road under the current reality
We start by examining the case for GEOTHERMAL & ALGAE ENERGY and
look @ why it
is not happening on a larger scale.
An actual case FOR GEOTHERMAL & ALGAE ENERGY is made below this
letter in
an actual email sent to a
local government official with whom I serve with as a representative of
the people in our city of 70K.

First a little
background on the Energy aspects of our MASTER PLAN
WHY IS GEOTHERMAL & ALGAE ENERGY NOT HAPPENING RIGHT NOW THEN YOU
ASK ?
Why
is
this
not
happening
right now ? Well actually it is, but in limited fashion, most
likely due to the fact that it is difficult to make a "business"
case for free energy...
How do you charge for something
when everyone finds out it cost you nothing ?
The establishment is in "power" precisely because they are the
gatekeepers to energy and everyone must pay them to gain access to
energy under our current energy system's rules.
This
is
where
our
leadership
comes in. We cannot continue to protect the monopoly financial
interests of some at the expense of humanity and the earth-at-large any longer,
especially
when
there
exists a simple WIN-WIN-WIN Solution for EVERYONE.
Also,
until
recently,
the
technology
required to dig deep enough was not as practical as it is
today. This is no longer the case. There simply
is NO EXCUSE for not utilizing the boundless free GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
under the earth's paper thin crust to produce 100% CLEAN and FREE
ELECTRICITY !!!
Please
talk
to
others
about
this.
It
is
simple
to
understand, simple to explain and simple to
implement on a regional level.
The
only
impediments
are
those
whose empires are built on the old energy paradigm.
They
must
figure
out
how to
transition themselves to the new paradigm and release their
stranglehold on the earth and all its inhabitants.
This is
not
easy
to
do,
no one releases their grip on the control panel easily,
would you ? Also, it does not at first glance appear to be
in their interest to do so.
The
role
of
leadership
is to
show the way, make it easy for those making the easy "money"
now to transition into other useful, less cannibalistic/parasitic pursuits.
If
we
cannot
make
the
monopolists feel safe in releasing their grip, they simply will
not.
It
is
similar
to
a high stakes
exchange of cash for secret documents or other valuables for
example.
Imagine a
clandestine meeting point where each party
brings his brief case for exchange with the other,
one filled with unmarked bills, the other party's with highly
prized
objects
or
information.
Neither party wants to hand over their part of the bargain first, each
fears the other will take the others stuff and run,
or even worse, kill the other party and take the cash, or the secrets/valuables
as the case may be.
What is needed is an escrow
mechanism whereby the monopolists can hand over their control of the
improperly used control structures in exchange for
the freedom from the same poorly implemented outdated mechanisms.
[Currently, our
system is based on artificial scarcity of physical and intellectual
resources, with a spoils system from the top down which encourages
fractally similar hording and WIN-LOSE behavior with
systemic punishment for behavior non-conformist to same
paradigm done down to the
nanometer level.]
This switch to the new paradigm has
to
happen
all
at once or it will not happen. This
will be a very high stakes transition, a tipping point if you will.
It
will
be
necessary
to make
sure that the new way is all lined up first, so that those in control
now can believe that they are really trading
something for something, and of course so that the new way can actually
have
a
chance
of surviving doubters, saboteurs, etc. This is an
all or nothing deal though, there really
is no phase in possible, as the old way will re-entrench itself if even
one spore of its pattern is able to remain.
As
a
result
of the
shortsighted's release of grip over the
improperly implemented control structures,
humans will become un-ensnared, or decoupled from the machinery of
economy.
To
understand
this,
consider
the
following simple verbal illustration:
Humans
are
now,
because
of a
stomach, completely ensnared in the machinery of economy, they are part
of the machine. In order to get food
and
shelter etc, they must produce goods and/or services to acquire
money from other humans or systems, in order to
obtain the food, shelter etc to simply survive.
No
matter
who
you
are, you are
trapped, even the rich are, although to a different degree, everything
is tied back to money and the imperative to earn it.
Well,
if instead
we became decoupled from the machinery of economy, and became a
wageless, cash less society , for the essentials anyway,
people in effect
would be decoupled from the machinery of economy from an imperative
perspective. Of course this has been tried via socialism, and
everyone
tries to accomplish it by setting up systems of
people or crops or animals or what have you, below them that do all the work
for them and they simply cash the checks.
This is
precisely what we want to do,
but on a global level, i.e. have the systems in place below humanity
itself that produce all the goods and services, and humanity cashes all
the checks, but the mechanisms beneath us would NOT be other
humans or animals, but instead, inanimate systems, not inmates.
In other words, have
robots and computers do all physical and mental work, not humans or
animals.
Humans then
would no longer enslave other humans or animals via one mechanism or
another as is currently the case indeed.
The rich
could no longer feel guilty and so separate from the humans below them
who are de-humanized in order to "humanize" the rich above them.

This
would
free
humans
up for
what they were created for in the first place, and that is to live and
really
live,
live
like all those with wealth have always lived, only
better, without the abuse of others or themselves, i.e. without
any of the excesses or deficiencies.
Human Beings could be "Beings", not "Doings". How much of your life now is simply reaction to
things around you that you had nothing to do with or otherwise care
little about ? Would you like to be left to be, at least some of
the time ?
Each and every
human's full time "job"
would be toplerk on their mental, physical, and
spiritual health. That is
all.Of course all the tendencies to
compete would still be there, only difference is it would all be
voluntary. There would be mental competitions, so the mental
faculties do not atrophy. There would continue to be physical
competition, so that physical capacities remain healthy and
interesting, look, we already have this, i.e. The World Cup, the NFL, Olympics
etc, is it really that hard to imagine ? Even the "reality" TV of
today is pointing in this direction.
This
is
what
we
all strive to
do now anyway, i.e. work on our own mental physical and spiritual
health.
We
just
need
to
set thingsup so EVERYONE can do it, not just the lucky or otherwise better
positioned to do so.
The
universe
is
certainly
big
enough to accommodate this, it can never be overpopulated, this
much is OBVIOUS. We are certainly smart enough to do
it. We have created our own sun, i.e. nuclear reactors. We can
leave
the
planet
via space travel. The rules which govern the
matter which appears everywhere in the universe we are becoming moreand more familiar with as each day passes. This is a no
brainer. It really is that simple, and beyond your
wildest dreams, that is just how good this news is, and most
importantly it is REAL & Achievable
in our lifetime !!! [that depends on our
commitment of course, hello ?]
Again the issue is to
simply change the underlying paradigm upon which the economy
functions. The role of the human must be re-designed from the
ground up on so fundamental of a level,
that at first, just contemplating the proposal can be disorienting,
even inducing cognitive dissonance in some. But alas this is the
nature of fundamental change. We are not talking about simply
rearranging the chairs on the Titanic here, which is all most plans
currently considered do. We are talking about change so deep and
penetrating that it will quite literally lead to the emancipation of
all forms of life from the unnecessary bondage we all find ourselves in.
Remember,
perfect slaves actually
believe they are free !!! Good belief to have if there
is no choice, but can we really say there is no choice here ?
Don't you and yours and doesn't everyone for that matter deserve the
best ?
So how would it "work"
you ask ? Money in its conventional sense would have to be
eliminated. It is already an artificial construct. It
simply is an artificial representation for natural resources.
Right now the economy is set up to depend on consumption. Without
a certain level of consumption, businesses will lay people off.
The higher the level of consumption, the businesses will hire, the more
they will pay etc. THAT cycle/relationship has to be decoupled,
i.e. obliterated.
Since businesses are
currently tightly couple with consumption levels, there is a tendency
for them to artificially increase consumption to help their bottom
lines.
The ways in which
businesses can artificially increase consumption levels are many, but
perhaps the single most dangerous technique is to commandeer the very
government which was meant to regulate them. Just think of
Tobacco, pharmaceuticals, oil, autos, etc, easy to understand...
By commandeering
government, businesses can change regulations to increase
consumption. For example, in the case of GeoThermal energy,
businesses fund academia by sponsoring studies to "find"
that geothermal heat pumps are "bad" for the water table.
This causes people to
continue to use conventional, non-geothermal heat pumps, which utilize
up to 80% more energy ! This artificially increases consumption
of Coal and other fossil fuels to run electric power plants.
Ironically the arguments against residential geothermal heat pumps are
that they may, in some cases, lead to evenly distributed minor
increases in the the water table temperature in the summer, and
correspondingly lower temps in the winter, when in reality, having a
single power plant using that much additional energy due to 80 %
increased consumption, coupled with even greater inefficiencies in
distributing power over great distances,
as is the case with regional power plants, combines to dump even more
heat into the water table at a single point, i.e. usually a river, not
to mention all the pollutants from burning coal and green house gases
spewed into atmosphere. So in essence big biz gets the pass, and
Harry Home owner not only gets to pay 80% more, has to work that much
harder, but also gets to pay for chemo-therapy later due to all
the fine particle pollution and heavy metals released into the
atmosphere from burning that much more coal, AND here is the kicker,
the net effect on heating the earth is actually far greater when
geo-thermal heat pumps are regulated out of existence.
Another case of
businesses creating artificial increases in consumption is when they
dismantle mass transit systems through government lobbying in order to
increase the purchase of automobiles, tires, gasoline etc, since
without effective intermodal mass transit there simply is no
choice. [see Southern CA]
So as you can see,
businesses take on a life of their own, and it is not hard to see how
businesses themselves have come to depend on human's consumption for
their own survival. In essence, humans really are working for
business systems and are an integral part of those systems, when the
whole idea of businesses and the systems through which they
function was, originally and theoretically, to work for
humans, i.e. to make humans' lives easier than they would be
without same businesses and the systems which implement them.
This
is
the
cycle
that
must be broken, this is the en-entanglement, which must become
untangled. Businesses have quite literally inserted their
tentacles and other appendages into the veins of their human hosts who
pay the money that businesses gauge their performance with. Since
even the smallest of businesses has far greater power than any
individual has, haven't you noticed the way you are treated as a PAYING
customer, and since government itself has clearly and unambiguously
been commandeered by business, the individual human really is in quite
a bit of danger right now, completely powerless it would appear to stop
this machine from further devouring humans whole.

This is only in
appearance however since once the paradigm is shifted back where it
belongs, or should we say for the first time ever, this inversion of
who was created for whose benefit can never happen again, and the key
here is removing the direct linkage between businesses and the humans
they were intended to serve, and that linkage is clearly money as it is
currently being utilized. The interface between businesses and
humans cannot be so direct, there must be another layer inserted so
that there is not a direct correlation between consumption levels and
profit. While it is true that money serves the function of
expressing free will, the simple lack of money should not mean that
someone no longer has free will. Free will is crucial, it is the
only way to have a healthily universe. It is the essence of
democratic principles and what it means to be a human.
But if free
will becomes synonymous with money, then only those with money have
freewill, and unfortunately the system has been gamed by those with
money against those without to the point that those without really are
no longer humans in the normal sense of the word, they are merely
automatons for their own survival, no different than the Hebrew slaves
in Egypt
building someone else's pyramids, or the African slaves in the US, or
slaves anywhere else in human history. Technically speaking,
anyone who is forced to do something against their will over and over
again is a slave, no matter how well guised the coercive
mechanisms are.
Slaves were and
still are the precursors of the robot. Well now that we have REAL
robotics for physical work and Artificial Intelligence for mental
work, this situation should no longer exist, no matter how much
momentum the old way has, and no matter how incomprehensible the
elimination of money in the conventional sense is to most people alive
today. It is especially unpalatable to those with a lot of money,
and understandably so, since in many cases, much sweat equity went
into acquiring those fortunes, i.e. not everyone is a crook.
Be that
as it may, we still need to convert to a money-less system, and allow
those with lots of it, to "cash" it in for something else during the
transition to the new paradigm. What
must
happen
before
the ruling class will feel comfortable "cashing" in
their money, is to reduce the cost of everything to zero, i.e. if
everything is free, then there is no need for money.
In
other
words,
if there are no labor costs, and that is the number one
controllable cost of doing business, and energy resources are
unlimited, which they clearly are, then we will no longer need "money"
in the current sense of the word, and human's will be freed from the
machinery of economy, or the matrix if you will. [Sidebar: Also as the
value of money is gradually
reduced to ZERO, those with huge piles of it will feel extraordinary
pressure to "cash" it in BEFORE it goes to ZERO. Recall when FDR
outlawed the possession of GOLD and everyone had to "turn it in to the
government" for paper money... This is a similar situation, only
in reverse of course.]
Obviously Robots do not
need to be paid wages. They also do not strike, nor do they
sleep. Computers also are similar in this regard.
If robots do all the
physical work, and computers all the mental work, which is certainly
possible, then humans can stop preying on each other and forcing each
other to do things they do not want to do just to stay alive and keep
food in the stomach etc, then we will be freed to be human BEINGS, not
just human doings, and most importantly, when we do do, we will do what we want to do, which
is always better for everyone. When do you do your best "job"
? When you are doing something you want to do, or when you have
no other choice, never mind your life depends on it ?
[COPYRIGHT - ALL

Of course with such a
blue sky scenario, some of the constraints to current behaviors will be
eliminated, and specific to this conversation, the constraint on
consumption will be eliminated in the conventional sense that you can
consume without concern for monetary cost under the new paradigm.
How to combat this ?
It simply will not be
possible to consume more than necessary, AND, more importantly, there
will no longer be all the artificial influences from the
"system" encouraging increased non-useful artificial
consumption. Remember, your full time "job" from now on under the
new paradigm is to maintain your MPS health, and over consumption is
not part of that "job". Also, hand and hand with the old system
were the unbelievable stresses of having to produce in order to
survive, which in and of themselves, these pressures produce mental
imbalances which then lead to increased unbalanced consumption of all
sorts of things, including but not limited to alcohol, food, and
countless other forms of over-consumption and addictions. With
the elimination of this produce or starve entanglement, the
resultant psychological pressures, and the over-consumption
imbalances they engender, will
also be eliminated. Also, with the elimination of money you will
discourage crime related to it, as well as unwise borrowing. What
then will be the new crime, and new form of lending, if money
is eliminated, is the natural question to ask.
So to still have free
will under the
new paradigm, what decides who gets to consume how much, when
under the old system at least we had money being the
consumption constraining mechanism ? Great question !!!
This is discussed in greater detail in another treatise,
inquire if interested, it is touched on in the FAQ here: http://TeamInfinity.com/writings/MagnaCartaFAQ.shtml
There would have to be a
new mechanism of course, because even though we will have robots
and computers to produce as much as robots are told to,
or make as many decisions as told to as in case of computers, they
still have to know how much to produce, what to produce, or what to
decide, and when to give the answer etc. How will all this be
managed without humans doing the managing, as this would constitute a
"job" under the new paradigm which as we have previously declared
is clearly forbidden.
At least with
money we had a numerical system to provide the basis upon which to
make the aforementioned decisions, never mind the fact that people had
to carry out this production and decision making labor, many of them
against their will, but still money was a rational mechanism to
let us know when certain thresholds were crossed or when to "buy"
or
"save" more etc. What will replace this
leveling mechanism under the new paradigm if humans are elevated above
the level of participating so closely with the machinery of economy at
least from the production and decision making aspects that their
current labor, forced or not, requires ?
This question implies
that an accounting system is still necessary, but that humans will be
elevated above it, if for no other reason it is NOW possible to do so,
and also desirable, so as to insulate us from the system's uncertainties, temptations,
&
dangers,
not
least of which being pulled into the gears of the
machinery of economy.
Of course there is no
contradiction in there still being a rational, numerically determined accounting
system under the new rules. There WOULD be "money" exchanged
between the various components of the new economy just like now, only
we as humans, will NOT engage
in these exchanges, only the robots and AI computer systems will
exchange units of exchange, i.e. "money", so that there is that leveling
mechanism to coordinate and regulate the production and decision making
processes upon which the now liberated humans will be lofted above.
Again, the parallel in
today's world is easily seen. Just consider all the successful
businesses that have harnessed the power of their employees, and
resources. Now think of the owners of said businesses who are NOT
involved in the day to day operations nearly to the degree that the
employees are.
These "owners" enjoy the
benefits of the systems beneath them. All we are talking about
doing here is elevating EVERYONE to this level, and let the machines do what
humans were never intended to do. Let's end
human robotics and
institute realrobotics
once and for all, with a
complete and total switch over, do not
look back or become a pillar of salt. There is an infinite
amount of space, matter, and energy in the universe. Everyone can
have everything they want beyond their wildest dreams without hurting
or enslaving others in the process.
It is quite urgent we do
this now. If we think it is difficult to rest control from
shortsighted corrupt humans and all their machinations, manipulations and lies, just wait
until the inevitable happens...
What
is the inevitable you ask ?
Well, you may ask
yourself, just how did SYSOP come up with all these ideas ?
Actually these ideas are
obvious, and as such they are
coming with or without our efforts, that is just how the obvious
works.
Then you say what is the
rush if it is coming on its own ?
Herein lies the danger
and the challenge.
If we allow these
systems to continue in the their current direction, i.e. businesses
taking on a life of their own and enslaving people with further and
further tightness of fit, they will become so firmly and subtly
entrenched that humans will never be able to free themselves from
them. Just ask most cows.
So, while humans,
corrupt and as greedy as they may be, are
nevertheless, still at the helm
of this out of control careening set of systems, i.e. while we still
have someone who speaks human to talk to,
now is that time.
If you think the corrupt
humans at the helm of these systems now are tricky, clever and deceptive, you have
not seen how clever and tricky an Artificially Intelligent Computer
system can be. The machine has no heart of flesh, it is pulling
us into its gears of steel.
Now is the time to
harness the inevitable before it harnesses us.

Could we please bring this excellent news re GEOTHERMAL
HEAT PUMPS to the attention of the Leadership committee as well
as all the
Building Projects we are involved with pertaining to all Re-Creation
facilities including but not limited to:
Community Centers,
Coastal
Parks,
Arts and Entertainment Facilities
etc please ?
GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMP systems allow you to cool and heat your house, and
municipal buildings of course, for up to 80% LESS !!!
These systems are very similar to a normal AC system, only they have a
much better heat exchanger technique which simply involves using a pipe
loop underground, not unlike a well for your irrigation system, to take
advantage of the stable temperatures underground to either throw heat
into or remove it.
A by product of these systems is
HOT WATER for FREE !!!.
We should not only demand these for our homes and all new municipal
construction, we should MANDATE them by LAW for ALL new public
construction if not retroactively too.
please cc: Leadership Committee @ our next gathering, as well as
next
Monthly Normal Leadership meeting please.
Hope you have a great and warmer week John.

P.S.
The GEO Thermal Heat Pump discussed above is just one form of GEO
THERMAL Energy, and while very impressive, actually is only a passive
form of GEOTHERMAL Energy.
True,
active GEOTHERMAL Energy works something like the following:
Use the boundless internal
heat of the earth to boil water to spin turbine to generate
electricity, instead of burning coal to do it.
Consider the earth on the scale of
a basketball.
Now spray paint the basketball the
color blue, just enough so it appears blue, i.e. one coat of spray
paint.
Now
consider the following:
The single coat of spray paint on a
basketball is the same thickness as the earth's crust is,
relatively speaking.
Beneath
the earth's very thin crust is extremely
hot material, over 1600 degrees in fact, of molten rock, the outer
mantle, i.e. lava lies just below this very very thin layer known as
the crust.
The
earth's crust is even thinner than the skin of an apple for example in
comparison.
Obviously
we
do
not want to get quite that close to punching all the way through
the earth's crust, there is no need to.
The
stone layer near the bottom of the earth's crust, just above the outer
mantle is naturally quite hot.
So
hot in fact that we could run water through pipes near it to boil water
to power a steam turbine generator to produces endless electricity
which could be stored in hydrogen fuel cells to power cars and
everything else for free, with zero emissions,
forever. Precisely the same technologies we currently use
to explore and mine coal and petroleum are needed to dig the wells deep
enough to reach this hot layer to boil the water to turn the turbines
which spin the generators. It is a no brainer.
Of course the cynical will say we would already being doing it this way
if it were so easy, to that just think of all the other things we used
to do a certain way that later changed.
http://TeamInfinity.com/MagnaCarta.html The
Age
of
Recreation
via the Emancipation of
Humanity from the Machinery of Economy via ROBOTIC
WAGELESS ECONOMYwith GEOTHERMAL & ALGAE ENERGY
As we woke from our neolithic slumber, humans began to talk about
living forever,
and this was because we realized that it might be possible.
This talk has continued for eons,
however, along the way we became lost,
because although we knew it was possible, it appeared for the time
being to be impractical.
All sorts of bizarre religions
were created to compensate for this, to ease the pain of those alive,
who, although
they believed living forever would someday be possible, they
nevertheless felt that it would not be in their time...
Thus the beginning of all error...
Therefore, for those who realized
then, and believe now, that it is not possible,
a huge wall has been erected to deny it to everyone else,
and this could go on forever unless we start thinking clearly now.
Think only thoughts at least as positve as these.
Let this be your measuring stick, expect the best,
and know what best is, and expect it for everyone,
to improve your chances of receiving it too.
The Honorable Rabbi Crispe's comments
dealing with the "End
of Work":
"There are an abundance of
sources
based on verses of the prophets and
more cryptically alluded to in the Torah proper and they are then
expounded upon in the writings of the Sages (Midrash, Talmud and
Kabbalah and Chassidut.) Amongst the most prominent quotations are the
statements of the Rambam in both his Mishna Torah regarding the Laws of
Kings, having to do with Moshiach, and the Shmone Prakim. And the most
prominent quote spoken about is:
Belef Hasvhii
Ein Bo Melacha:
In
the
7th
millennium
there
is no work. "
Notice that there is no prohibition to ending work before then....
If you are aware of other references like this, in any faith's
literature, please do share.

Did you know that there are MILLIONS of non-Z-i-o-n-i-s-t

Isn't it wise to not assume either way ?

Don't we all have the right to be ?
Shouldn't all be free of the implications of others beliefs ?
