Good afternoon:
 
The following theories are submitted for your
consideration and comments.  Please keep in mind that
semantics are often different from person to another,
and that these theories are draft and unrefined.  The
meaning each of us has for the same things may be
different, and the same words may be used differently
to describe the same or different things amongst
different people depending on each persons' experience
of those words etc.

Theory of Why Starting Over is Sometimes Called For
 & Sysop@TeamInfinity.com's "UNIVERSAL INFINITE DNA
THEORY for explaining EVERYTHING".

Often the original inspiration of an undertaking of
any sort forms the thin often-invisible super
structure of same.  As time passes and the conditions
present when the original scaffolding was put into
place no longer exist, we continue to try and patch
the entity with efforts that do not entirely
organically attach themselves to the original
superstructure as tightly and seamlessly as the
original components did.
 
Eventually the shear weight of these successive
patches, which do not efficiently "breath" with the
underlying original superstructure, each component
possessing their own separate mini-superstructures,
since each was conceived piece-meal later in the game,
soon cause the whole thing to tumble down, requiring a
completely new chassis which all components attach to
with full respiration versus working partly or
completely independently against one another, to be
rebuilt from scratch.  The same can be said for
nations, organizations, and organisms.
 
This process of deterioration is accelerated when
either of the following conditions is present:
 

    * Original Superstructure was weak or poorly
designed for the environment the entity emerged in
[expressed DNA, in case of organisms, Constitutions in
cases of States for example]

 

    * Original Super structure, "good" or not, is not
protected from damage over time, i.e. free radicals,
oxidants, in case of organisms, irresponsible leaders
in case of governments both suppressing or altering
the underlying Superstructure/DNA etc.

 
Basically creating vs. changing is the difference
between changing something that already exists, and
creating from nothing over again, or continually
creating on an ever-ongoing basis.  Changing is simply
moving stuff around, creating means to create from
nothing.  Unless you start with nothing, you are not
creating it can be said.

Please keep in mind that each such successive moment in 
time is actually like none that has come before. It is a 
FRESH moment, and as such you CAN CREATE in it !

In essence, no matter how much momentum you feel
exists, "good or bad", each successive momentis
nevertheless a new moment, and starting over, can be
done at each and every of these new moments. This is
what we mean by starting over.  You have no choice but
to start over each and every moment, checking to see
if the assumptions you held are still valid from the
previous moment, this is what it means to be alive.

This notion is no more profound than what you do when
you drive a car on a mountain road or in NASCAR.  You
must continually update your view of the road ahead,
i.e. not operate on an image of what the road ahead
looked like too many moments ago. In computer science
this is known as REALTIME.

In fact, you can not step into the same river twice
for at least two reasons. So creating, is nothing more
than realizing each new moment as such, and create in
them.

The human body does this every seven years, but
gradually over the entire period of time, replacing
each and every atom of calcium in your skeleton, one
at a time, as if you continually rebuilt a brick house
one brick at a time every 100 years overturning every
brick to a new one, giving you a new house, or in the
case of our bodies, new body every 7 years, FOREVER. 
Of course the DNA is the blueprint specifying how to
do this, underscoring the importance of preserving
that code.
 
This is the difference between building and growing
too.  Building is quick and terminal; while growing is
organic, slower and self-replicating.  For example,
plant an apple tree.  Come back 150 years later, and
there will be an orchard of trees there with no human
effort required.  Build a brick house, in 2 weeks,
come back in 150 years, and not one new brick will
have been spawned, and the house, without patching,
i.e. more building, might not even be there.

One is not necessarily better than the other, a
combination is required, consider a grapevine and the
man-made trellis used to support it for example. Key
point being sometimes starting both processes over
again is necessary.
 
This is also the difference between
nanotechnology/biotechnology and conventional
sculpting/etching/rearranging/building technologies
where one takes a block of something and scrapes away
the stuff we don't want, and then link a bunch of
those dead pieces together.
 
Nano/bio takes things that have been alive forever,
and gets them to work together in a new or better way. 
[Forever in the sense that you, yes, you, have been
alive forever, since at no point in your past was
there not a living piece of flesh involved
successively backwards in time from your parent's,
parent's, parent's ad infinitum to you TODAY !]
 
Of course, there are boundary conditions between the
two modes, live vs dead parts, a good example being
the use of cadaver parts in reconstructive surgery for
torn knee ligaments for example.  This is a
combination of both and can lead to horrendous
results, where the dead cadaver ligament can leak
"death" into the live components of the patient to
which it is attached.  Then these death particles can
spread to overtake the whole body, which has happened
on many occasions.  Death can spread to life, but life
seldom, if ever, can life spread to dead material
unless dead material is completely scrapped and
reassembled from the base constituents up, i.e.  the
death process must be completely finished before the
elements of that component can be used again.  Makes
sense.  Mad cow is an example of this.  Feeding dead
cow to live cows produces mad cow disease.  The scraps
of dead cow have cow-dis-assembling entities in them,
that are doing their job, i.e. breaking down the dead
cow scraps they find themselves in.
 
Feeding dead cow parts to a living cow only introduces
into that live Cow the seeds of its own destruction,
and the disease is only doing what it is supposed to,
it cannot differentiate between a piece of flesh
belonging to a living cow, and a hunk of flesh from a
dead cow, it just knows that it's job is to BREAK DOWN
Cow flesh, no matter what.

The good news is we are becoming quite proficient in
understanding how recombination of live components in
a positive way works.  Of course such recombinations
can occur on their own, and this is where many new
diseases and other good organisms can come from, i.e. 
different birds within the same species who express
different characteristics for example form a slightly
different bird with new characteristics.  Our
understanding of how to do this is not a violation of
any law since it can occur with or without our action. 
Doing it ourselves and looking for positive
combinations is only wise, and essential for dealing
with combinations that occur with or without our
action.  The best way to look at this would be to
consider the following:
 
If we can recombine things, it means they could
already have recombined without us.  The more involved
we are in the process the better since we will have
some ability to steer things versus being caught off
guard when new combinations occur on their own.
 
Please consider the following.
 
Each & everyone of us possesses the one and the same
and only UNIVERSAL Infinite DNA.  By each we mean to
say EVERY CREATURE, PLANT, VIRUS, even ROCKs, all
possess the SAME UNIVERSAL INFINITE DNA, which is
infinite in length, and thereby can apply to all
temperature, pressures, times and places forever. 

This is one of the Team Infinity concepts.
 
The only difference between you and me and the rock
and a tree is that each of us expresses more
dominantly a certain subset of the UNIVERSAL INFINITE
DNA, aka UID, so as to appear as what each of us
respectively appears as when viewed by the others.
 
This UID may actually be none other than the DNA of
[universe/everything choose your term].  The
reason each of us only expresses our respective subset
of the SAME one and ONLY UID that everyone else
possesses, is that those expressed characteristics an
entity expresses are precisely what is required at the
moment and place where that entity happens to find
itself, and where and when something finds itself
demands a certain set of characteristics necessary to
perform the functions necessary in THAT PARTICULAR
place and time to survive and enjoy itself.

This is why, for example the ratio of the strength of
your quadriceps compared to your biceps is precisely
geared to the gravitational force of the planet you
were incarnated on.  This is why the blood in a
"healthy" person's veins has almost the exact same
ratio of all the elements found in Seawater of THAT
planet, [except iron in our case].  From the sea we
came, so in our veins we carry the sea, i.e. we still
possess the ratio of elements from the soup from of
the rock orbiting around the star we find ourselves. 
Is this surprising to you?  If this were not the case
would be much more startling.
 
Another awesome aspect of Sysop@TeamInfinity.com's UID
theory is the notion that since we each possess the
COMPLETE UID, we all have infinite potential to become
ANYTHING.  In fact that is why we see such diversity
in life, i.e. just the life we know of, let alone the
life we are not aware of currently.  We have all the
information necessary inside our UID to express
ourselves as anything already living to that yet to be
expressed [that is where "magical" powers and all
progress come from].
 
The illusion is that because we each express more
dominantly a certain subset of the UID, that each of
us is fundamentally different.
 
We are different only on the "surface" in the degree
to which we each differently express our subset of the
SAME and only UID.  We can each express more of the
UID where it is necessary to bring about new powers
etc.  We each possess different external
characteristics because all of the same would not
work.  Everything is perfectly complementary to
everything else.  We breathe oxygen and exhale CO2,
Plants do just the opposite thank
[universe/everything choose your term].
 
The only limitation on which aspects of the UID
any one of us expresses at any given time may
precisely be linked to our relationship with
[universe/everything choose your term] and
consequently everything else.
 
This is why all the thoughts you have heard of
regarding being positive and anything is possible are
absolutely true.  It may sound corny but what if, and
it is, absolutely true?  It is.

If you do not think IT possible then you are not the
one to bring about THAT new capability or power, for
you yourself do not think it could be, and IF you did
possess it, you might use it for destruction due to
ignorance of its full power.  In other words, you are
only given the opportunity to express the amount of
power via the UID that you are able to understand
fully and safely use.  It only makes sense.
 
It is possible that some do get to use more of it than
they are ready to simply so that others may learn from
it, this is where magical people of the past may have
come from.  Also, some birds and other animals seem to
show uncanny capabilities far and above their
brethren.  There are ravens who can hold verbal
"conversations" for example with people. [Tower of
London]
 
Of course when referring to  Sysop@TeamInfinity.com's
UID Theory as mine, this would also mean that the
theory is yours as well since we are really one and
the same despite the subset of the UID we each
uniquely express.
 
The best way to experience this concept is to NOT feel
that you just learned it, but rather that you always
knew this to be the case, and you are simply
remembering it, or recalling it.  It is so obvious
that it, like [universe/everything choose your
term], is simply "hiding" in plain sight.  But if you
know something is hiding, you also know it exists.  It
is as if a friend is hiding behind a tree and you know
it.  You cannot see your friend, but your friend is
still there.  How do you know when you are in a dream? 
It is enough to simply ask.

One note to add:  the UID may be more precisely
referred to as the UIAID which is to say the UNIVERSAL
INFINITE ALL INCLUSIVE DNA, since it is possible to be
infinite and yet NOT all inclusive, for example the
set of integers is certainly infinite, but does NOT
include ANY of the fractions between each integer for
example. The list of fractions between ANY TWO
integers is also INFINITE !! So we can easily see the
difference between INFINITE and ALL INCLUSIVE. The
UIAID is BOTH INFINITE & ALL INCLUSIVE as it does not
suffer any gaps of information as it includes all
information required to express ANY organism at any
time in any set of conditions including by not limited
to different sets and combinations of temperatures,
pressures, and gravitational forces and different
periodic tables of elements for example. [Different as
in more or less extensive, since all periodic tables
likely all share the same lower elements] Good news is
that each of us possesses this UIAID whether we wish
to acknowledge it or not.  Other restrictions imposed
by [universe/everything choose your term] could
include energy restrictions, i.e. "radical"
combinations and expressions of the UIAID can only
exist if energy and time ratios are not violated, i.e.
there cannot be a perturbation of everything else,
i.e. everything else must permit the particular new
expression of the UIAID. Energy is infinite however,
and time does not really exist, so please take that
into consideration.  [Ask if you are curious why TI
asserts this.],

Scientists Say They've Found a Code Beyond Genetics in DNA 

By NICHOLAS WADE

Researchers believe they have found a second code in
DNA in addition to the genetic code.

The genetic code specifies all the proteins that a
cell makes. The second code, superimposed on the
first, sets the placement of the nucleosomes,
miniature protein spools around which the DNA is
looped. The spools both protect and control access to
the DNA itself.

The discovery, if confirmed, could open new insights
into the higher order control of the genes, like the
critical but still mysterious process by which each
type of human cell is allowed to activate the genes it
needs but cannot access the genes used by other types
of cell.

The new code is described in the current issue of
Nature by Eran Segal of the Weizmann Institute in
Israel and Jonathan Widom of Northwestern University
in Illinois and their colleagues.

There are about 30 million nucleosomes in each human
cell. So many are needed because the DNA strand wraps
around each one only 1.65 times, in a twist containing
147 of its units, and the DNA molecule in a single
chromosome can be up to 225 million units in length.

Biologists have suspected for years that some
positions on the DNA, notably those where it bends
most easily, might be more favorable for nucleosomes
than others, but no overall pattern was apparent. Drs. 
Segal and Widom analyzed the sequence at some 200
sites in the yeast genome where nucleosomes are known
to bind, and discovered that there is indeed a hidden
pattern.

Knowing the pattern, they were able to predict the
placement of about 50 percent of the nucleosomes in
other organisms.

The pattern is a combination of sequences that makes
it easier for the DNA to bend itself and wrap tightly
around a nucleosome. But the pattern requires only
some of the sequences to be present in each nucleosome
binding site, so it is not obvious. The looseness of
its requirements is presumably the reason it does not
conflict with the genetic code, which also has a
little bit of redundancy or wiggle room built into it.

Having the sequence of units in DNA determine the
placement of nucleosomes would explain a puzzling
feature of transcription factors, the proteins that
activate genes. The transcription factors recognize
short sequences of DNA, about six to eight units in
length, which lie just in front of the gene to be
transcribed.

But these short sequences occur so often in the DNA
that the transcription factors, it seemed, must often
bind to the wrong ones. Dr. Segal, a computational
biologist, believes that the wrong sites are in fact
inaccessible because they lie in the part of the DNA
wrapped around a nucleosome. The transcription factors
can only see sites in the naked DNA that lies between
two nucleosomes.

The nucleosomes frequently move around, letting the
DNA float free when a gene has to be transcribed.
Given this constant flux, Dr. Segal said he was
surprised they could predict as many as half of the
preferred nucleosome positions. But having broken the
code, "We think that for the first time we have a real
quantitative handle on exploring how the nucleosomes
and other proteins interact to control the DNA", he
said.

The other 50 percent of the positions may be
determined by competition between the nucleosomes and
other proteins, Dr. Segal suggested.

Several experts said the new result was plausible
because it generalized the longstanding idea that DNA
is more bendable at certain sequences, which should
therefore favor nucleosome positioning.

"I think it's really interesting," said Bradley
Bernstein, a biologist at Massachusetts General
Hospital.

Jerry Workman of the Stowers Institute in Kansas City
said the detection of the nucleosome code was "a
profound insight if true", because it would explain
many aspects of how the DNA is controlled.

The nucleosome is made up of proteins known as
histones, which are among the most highly conserved in
evolution, meaning that they change very little from
one species to another. A histone of peas and cows
differs in just 2 of its 102 amino acid units. The
conservation is usually attributed to the precise fit
required between the histones and the DNA wound around
them. But another reason, Dr. Segal suggested, could
be that any change would interfere with the
nucleosomes' ability to find their assigned positions
on the DNA.

In the genetic code, sets of three DNA units specify
various kinds of amino acid, the units of proteins. A
curious feature of the code is that it is redundant,
meaning that a given amino acid can be defined by any
of several different triplets. Biologists have long
speculated that the redundancy may have been designed
so as to coexist with some other kind of code, and
this, Dr. Segal said, could be the nucleosome code.
